Itinerary

Day 1: Padang – Siberut island- Mentawai Clan House 

• 06:30 a.m: Hotel pick up in Padang
• 07:00 a.m:  Departing to Siberut island with the Fast Ferry 
• 11:00 a.m:  Arrive in North Siberut (Pokkai) and transit for 1 hour (loading on/off goods and passager, during this transit we will have lunch at the local restaurant)
• Noon: Continue to South Siberut with the same ferry
• 1:50 p.m: Arrival in South Siberut (our destination)
• 2:20 p.m: Travel straight to the local village (Rokdok village) by Minivan
• 15:20 p.m: Arrival in Rokdok village, loading our stuff and taking the motor canoe
• 3:30 p.m: Crossing the Siberut jungle river heading to the Butui Jungle area (Approx 2.5 hours)
• 5:30 p.m: Arrival at our trek point and trekking to the Mentawai tribe family (50 minutes)
• 6:20 p.m: Arrive in Mentawai traditional house 
• 6:30 p.m: Meet and greet with the Mentawai family
• 8:00 p.m: Dinner and evening  

Day 2: Stay with the Mentawai Clan in the jungle, explore the remote village, and experience local life in Mentawai 

• Experiencing living traditionally at the same time hunting, fishing, and gathering with a thousand-year-old belief makes you feel back to the Neolithic era
• Learning how to process the Mentawai traditional poison  
• Learning how to make and set up traps in the jungle
• During our stay with the family, you can ask them anything you would like to know about their way of living, culture, and traditions that they open want to talk it and answer your question.

Day 3 - 4: Stay with the Mentawai Clan in the jungle, explore the remote village, and experience local life Mentawai

Explore the jungle area of the remote village and visit another clan family house, and meet another Mentawai clan. Participating in their daily activities, activities that we will do such as (making traditional clothes, sago processing as primer food,  hand weaving from Ratan, or even learning how to process Mentawai traditional herbs and medicine.

Day 5: Leaving remote village - Siberut port and come back to Padang

After breakfast farewell to the family, and prepare to leave the jungle remote village and trek back to the bank of the river motor canoe will ride back to Muntei village. On arrival at Muntei village transit la local house, take rest and cleaning or wash our stuff and depart to Mailepet harbor and proceed to lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Padang by fast ferry, estimated time arrive in Padang 07:00 pm.
